MACOMB COUNTY — WARREN: Mosque To Open Soon (May 24, 2007)
Imam Steve Elturk, the head of the Islamic Organization of North America, met with local FBI
officials Wednesday, two days before the organization opens Warren's first mosque.
Elturk and Dawud Walid, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations in
Michigan, met with FBI officials so both groups could get to know each other.
